First LA AppShow A Sell Out Success

I had a blast at the first LA AppShow on July 27th at Upper West in Santa Monica. I was delighted to see that there was the same excitement and vibe around our AppShow format in LA as there’s been when we’ve done the show in San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Having an app, based on a successful television series, Glee, gave us the best production quality we’ve ever seen for an app video. Here’s my interview with JessicaTrinca of Fox Digital Entertainment.

In addition to Fox we had 2 other LA based companies present, AppsNminded and Xoobis games. Joining them were some familiar Bay Area app developers, Moe’s Notes and Moe’s Notepad developer Christopher Schardt and Double Dutch CEO Lawrence Coburn. Johan Till Broer, PR Manager at Navigon, who presented at our very first SF AppShow in November 2009 came back to the show to give us an update on Navigon’s new features and the improved usability allowed by iOS 4.0.  Line2 Lead Developer, Arash Payan, also discussed the improvements to Line 2 afforded by iOS 4.0.  We also welcomed GetJar Developer Evangelist, Bruce Jones to the LA AppShow stage for the first time.  Adam Towvim, Senior Director of Business Development at Jumptap wins the award for flying the furthest to present at the LA App Show, coming all the way from Boston.  Thanks again, Adam! You can watch all the videos from this event on our YouTube Channel.

Thanks again to our sponsors Jumptap, Getjar, and Navigon and our volunteers Greg, Tyler, Krista, and Art, Fred at Upper West, and everyone who came out to make the first LA AppShow a success!
